My Ad for Blurb Books is Up!

It is no secret that I love Blurb books. I starting using their books from the first week I heard of the company 5 years ago. We have collaborated on a few projects together in the past. I was interviewed for their Take 5 blog. I did an exhibition with them for Agatha Ruiz De La Prada. In 2009, I was awarded by the judges 1st Runner-up in the commercial category for the Photography.Book.Now competition, and last year I gave a talk at the Blurb Pop-up Store.

The new news is that they are using 2 of my images in the new ad campaign!!!!! My friend just emailed me to let me know he saw it up on the creative site Behance.net. If you click there and it isn't up, refresh the page a few times as it cycles through. Here are some screen captures. Very cool. It is an ad that moves with progression. The photo below shows 4 of the progression next to each other.

Here is a closer version of just the ad in 4 parts next to each other!

Check out Blurb, and check out the 2011 Photography.Book.Now competition. My best advice: Make a Book Today! The campaign was conceived by advertising and design firm Duncan/Channon. They were fantastic to work with. Here is a link to the rest of the campaign, which looks amazing!! I also want to say a special thanks to Blurb Founder and CEO, Eileen Gittins and the Director of Marketing, Amanda Zweerink

Many of you might be familiar with the original photos from the series which appeared in my Trapeze shoot for designer Susana Monaco. You can see the rest of the series here.

Jennifer Massaux in Black and White

I tried to post this on Twitter the other day during the shoot. One of the new things I am trying to do is take a camera phone shot of the back of the camera and tweet it right there on the spot. In this Photoshop world, it is kind of a cool insight, un-retouched, often with the camera settings right there on display.

However, yfrog removed this photo. I think it is super sexy, but not so in a way to get it removed. But here is anyway via Wordpress, tumblr and Twitter.

This is not straight off the camera. When the model photographed this shot on my computer screen with her iPhone, it added contrast and a haze. I thought it looked cool, so I added my own in Photoshop and Nik Color Efex. The model is the gorgeous Jennifer Massaux from Ford Models.

Thanks!

Okay, so I got a Twitter account and have been going nuts. Posting shots during shoots....and it has been hot models all week. I don't know if I will keep it up, so get it while it's hot!

Here is my twitter feed to get regular tweets. Below is a sample from this week. More to come (I think)!
