IMG Models Features My Shoot of Karolina Babczynska

The response to the Hunger Magazine story has been incredible.  First, we are one of the most viewed and Facebook liked stories ever on Hunger's website in a matter of days, and now IMG Models is featuring the shoot of their model Karolina Babczynska on their blog.  You know, it is always an honor when your work is appreciated.  But it is extra special when it is a top of the top modeling agency.  IMG works with the most beautiful models and the world's best photographers every day.  I am so pleased they even thought of me.

Karolina is stunning and just so cool to work with.  She brought her own creativity to the shoot and had such faith in us.  It really allowed Lisa, Yuko, Dennis and I to create and bring out our vision.

New Susana Monaco Bubbles Shoot!

I posted the preview last week, but thought I would wait to put up the main Susana Monaco series for my birthday.  I am totally in love with Celia Becker from Muse Model Management.  She was amazing when we photographed her 2 seasons ago for Susana Monaco Stripes, but now she looks quite different and amazing again.  Of course, we need to thank Yuko Takahashi for makeup, and Wesley O’Meara of The Wall Group for Hair. and Stephen Duncan for tirelessly making bubbles.  He is aptly named the bubble man.

Vibe.com - Tiesto x Melanie Iglesias

The level of support we get from the web community with my Flipbook videos is amazing. The DJ Tiesto x Melanie Iglesias Flipbook video has literally been featured on a couple hundred websites.  Currently, we are at about a million hits.

Vibe.com made it the must watch video of the day.

Yuko Takahashi for Canon

Many of you are familiar with Yuko Takahashi's work in countless shoots with me like the Susana Monaco Campaigns and dozens of shoots on my website.  She even did the makeup in yesterday's blog post for the new teaser shot.  Of course, Yuko works on hundreds of cool projects.  Recently, she brought me in on one of hers.

Canon Cameras are a staple in my studio.  We have the 5D Mark III, the Mark II, the 1DS Mark III, and even a couple of Canon Rebels and a G12 for fun.  So it was a pleasure when Yuko asked me to help her on set while Canon featured Yuko for huge TV commercial campaign in Asia.  Produced by TK Digital, the commercial follows Yuko doing makeup on set and using the new Canon S110. 

Now you can't really see me in the commercial, though I think Spencer Kohn and I are blurred in the background at one point.  Though I think it just might be my butt!  You do get a beautiful glimpse of my Broncolor Para 88.  Yuko is amazing in it.  Of course I can not find a direct link to the video, but there is a link and then you need to navigate by clicking an arrow at the bottom toward the right until you see Yuko.  Here is a screen shot of what you are looking for and then click "Special Movie".  Here is the link to when you have to click the arrow.


Here are some screen shots from the video.  Yuko is clearly a star.  It is all in Japanese, but if you ask me her acting is awesome.   You also see stylist Lisa Jarvis.

The New Bubbles Shoot Preview - Susana Monaco

Black Friday brings out the best in all of us.  Or at least in this case, as Susana Monaco rolled out a teaser shot from our new photo series to promote 30% off savings on some clothing on the website, http://susanamonaco.com.  Maybe don’t stand in line at a big chain store this year and buy some cool stuff from a cool company?

I can’t wait to release the whole shoot.  I am really excited about this one.  I am calling it my new bubbles shoot. You can see why.  We had the gorgeous and just super fun to work with Celia Becker from Muse Model Management, makeup by Yuko Takahashi, and hair by Wesley O’Meara of the Wall Group.  We had help from the Bubble Man Stephen Duncan.

Melanie Iglesias - Sports Illustrated's 10 Best Videos of Summer

Vogue india - Chef Aliya LeeKong

It was such a busy last couple months that I almost missed my photo in Vogue India!  It is for a feature on an amazing New York Chef, Aliya LeeKong.  She is the chef and culinary creative director at Junoon; a Michelin starred restaurant serving haute Indian cuisine.  I took this portrait of Aliya in Soho.  And my only regret is I should have planned an idea where she was making some of that amazing food!!  Boy, did I miss out.  You can follow her on her website, Facebook Page and Twitter.

Vintage Beauty - Pin Up Katrina Eugenia

Here are some screen grabs from my shoot this morning with Katrina Eugenia.  I used the Tadaa app for iPhone to manipulate them for like 2 sec and put the border.  No Retouching or anything.  We had such fun out there shooting these vintage shots.  Done right here on the beaches of New York.
